Great Basin College Tech Building

Summit Engineering was part of the design and construction team for the Industrial Technology Center at the Great Basin College campus. The new facility would accommodate a new division of education at the college allowing for more programs and opening room for some programs to get to 4-year degrees. The building would be one of the largest on campus and include both classrooms and lab facilities to support different trades. Summit Engineering completed civil design, initial topo mapping, boundary mapping, construction staking, and the 1704 special inspection and testing for the college as well as provided geotechnical recommendations for the foundation and related construction activities during the design phase. The building and related facilities were constructed on time and within the general budget planned for the facility. Summit’s ability to perform all phases of the civil and construction activities in-house and locally made for an easy decision on the selection of Summit as a partner in the design.
