Brief
Northern NV Hopes is a community healthcare clinic that provides healthcare to those with the fewest resources and options. This new clinic and parking garage provide additional capacity and services that can be provided to Northern Nevada’s most vulnerable, overlooked, and underserved members of the community. The Summit Team was able to contribute innovative solutions to civil design challenges and recommendations with regard to property boundary resolution even though boundary resolution was not part of our original scope of work.
Solutions
Due to our long-standing working relationship with Neenan Archistruction our team was selected to work on this project, they knew that we had local knowledge, a variety of in-house services, and the ability to problem-solve. We designed a realignment of a public sanitary sewer main through the site and around the proposed buildings to satisfy our client’s needs and the city’s concerns. We provided a grading and drainage design that satisfied code requirements within a very small footprint, allowing the architect to maximize the building sizes that would fit on the site. Summit provided an access road design to perpetuate access to an existing billboard.
