Brief
This project included a 140,000+/- square foot 4-story addition to the existing ROC facility on a 2-acre site in downtown Reno. Our task was to provide the surveying, civil engineering design, construction staking, and materials testing, and 1704 special inspections for this project. This project included the relocation of an existing public sanitary sewer main around the site to make room for the addition.
Scope
Summit was involved with the materials testing and inspection of public sanitary sewer system upgrades for the project and associated repairs to the public streets and sidewalks. Summit provided all inspections on the construction of the new building expansion, including soils testing, 1704 reinforced concrete, 1704 structural steel and bolting, 1704 welding, 1704 masonry, 1704 fireproofing and all associated laboratory testing. Summit worked closely with the contractor to ensure all construction standards were being met as well as the health and safety of all employees was maintained during the beginning stages of the Covid-19 pandemic.
